The Journey Begins September 24th: Are you ready?

Stop living in fear.

Stop letting burnout ruin your life.

Start living with joy and fulfillment.

This is a way of being.

Trilogy of Survival is a journey into practical survival skills, deeper awareness, and our connection to the natural world.

Designed after spending 86 days ALONE in the wilds of Patagonia and over a decade studying NIASZIIH healing, we sought to find a way to bring the lessons learned to others in a less extreme way. A way accessible to you in your everyday life.

What if learning how to survive, could also teach you how to live more fully? Trilogy of Survival is a six week online journey that uses the wisdom and practical skills of nature as a pathway back to ourselves.

Through shelter, water, fire, food, awareness, & connection, you'll explore what it means to belong, find peace, cultivate connection, experience joy, nourish ourselves, & live with purpose.

What You'll Explore

01

Week One: Awareness

Learning to notice. Learning to be present.

Begin by slowing down and developing the awareness that sits at the heart of everything that follows. Through sensory practices, curiosity, intention setting, journaling, and the creation of a personal sit area, you'll begin to see and experience the natural world in new ways.

02

Week Two: Shelter, Belonging, Peace

Creating safety in the world around you and within yourself.

Explore the principles of shelter, from understanding how the body loses heat to working with natural and modern materials. Along the way, we'll consider what it means to create a sense of belonging and cultivate peace.

03

Week Three: Water, Connection, Love

Learning to find what sustains us.

Discover why water is essential, how to identify potential water sources, and five methods for making water safer to drink. These practical skills invite exploration of connection, relationship, and love.

04

Week Four: Fire, Passion, Joy

Working with one of nature's oldest teachers.

Explore the history, science, safety, and practical skills of fire: from fire structure and fire lighting to first aid and safe practices. We'll also explore fire as a metaphor for passion, presence, and the spark of joy within us.

05

Week Five: Food, Nourishment, Purpose

Learning what it means to nourish ourselves truly.

Explore wild foods, plants, mapping, cooking methods, and the skills needed to safely and respectfully work with food in the natural world. From there, we'll look deeper at nourishment, purpose, and our relationship with the resources that sustain us.

06

Week Six: Bringing It All Together

From taking to caretaking.

Gather the skills, questions, and discoveries from the previous five weeks. Through gratitude, reflection, and conversation, you'll consider what this journey means for you and where you'll carry it next.

About Your Guide - Carleigh Fairchild

Hi, I'm Carleigh.

For more than 25 years, I’ve been learning from the land. Practicing earth skills, tending relationships with the natural world, and exploring what it means to truly belong here.

My work brings together survival skills and NIASZIIH healing, with a deep respect for the wisdom held in the Earth. Offering practices that give practical ways to slow down, listen, and reconnect with ourselves and the world around us.

Through Human Nature Connection LLC, I teach these skills in a welcoming, modern context for individuals, families, and communities. My hope is to help people remember that the Earth is not separate from us. It is a living relationship we can participate in with care, curiosity, and respect.

My 86 days alone in Patagonia on ALONE deepened this understanding. The experience asked me to rely on my skills, intuition, and connection to the land, and it reaffirmed what I have felt for much of my life: nature can be both a teacher and a place of profound belonging.

I live and teach in Western North Carolina, offering online and in-person classes, as well as bodywork sessions through my Asheville based practice. I create spaces for people to build confidence, connection, and a more grounded relationship with the Earth.

FAQ

Do I need previous survival experience?

Not at all. Trilogy of Survival is designed to meet you where you are. Whether you already have experience in the outdoors or are simply curious about developing practical skills and a deeper relationship with nature, you are welcome here. Come with an open mind, curiosity, and a willingness to learn.

Is this program completely online?

Yes. Trilogy of Survival is a completely online six week experience. You'll participate through weekly online calls and guided practices that you can engage with from wherever you are.

What do I need to participate?

You'll need a reliable internet connection and a device that allows you to join the online calls. A notebook and pen are also an important part of the experience, as you'll be invited to journal, reflect, and record your observations throughout the journey. Some weeks will also include simple practices or observations you can do in your own environment.

Will the calls be recorded?

Yes, the calls will be recorded and replays will be available to participants for 6 months.

How much time should I plan to spend each week?

Plan to set aside 90 minutes for the weekly online call as well as a minimum of 30 minutes per day for the practices, journaling, and exploration that accompany each week's theme. The experience is designed to give you space to engage with the material at your own pace rather than adding pressure to your schedule.

What happens after I register?

Once your registration is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email with the details you need to know. As the program approaches, you'll receive additional information about preparing for the experience, accessing the calls, and getting started.

What if I can't attend a live call?

We encourage you to join the live calls whenever possible, but we understand that life happens. All calls will be recorded and available to participants, so you can catch up when you're able. You'll also receive the weekly materials and practices so you can continue moving through the journey at your own pace.

The skills are practical. The lessons are much deeper.

Come learn what nature has been teaching us all along.
